Letter O
Ovation - Also known as stowage, it's the process of specially packing products inside a container, optimizing the use of space.
Letter P
Prepaid – Term indicating that freight is paid at the origin.
Packing List – International document with technical details, dimensions, and weight of the goods.
Pallet – Union of several boxes to allow the movement of only one volume.
Letter R
RADAR - According to the Brazilian Federal Revenue, it's a system that aims to provide, in real time, information of a customs, accounting, and tax nature.
RFB – Acronym for Brazilian Federal Revenue.
Remittance Without Withdrawal - Payment method where the importer receives the shipping documents directly from the exporter, without a draft.
Express Shipping - International document or shipment transported, by air, through an express courier company.
Letter S
Shipper – The exporter or sender.
SISCOMEX (Integrated Foreign Trade System) – Brazilian government portal that provides access to a registration system used exclusively for foreign trade operations.
Letter T
TEU (Twenty-Foot Equivalent Unit) – Foreign trade acronym used to indicate the Transport Equivalent Unit, i.e., a 20-foot container.
Transhipment - Process by which goods enter the customs territory of a country, are transferred from one mode of transport to another, and then leave the same port for another destination.
Transit Time – Travel time for a shipment to be delivered. Basically, it's the amount of time spent moving a good between the pickup point and its destination.
