Chinese Companies Planning to Invest in Brazil

Several Chinese companies are eyeing the Brazilian market with ambitious investment plans for the coming years. Here are the main highlights:

Meituan (Keeta brand)

The delivery giant will enter Brazil to compete directly with iFood, operating under the Keeta brand. The company announced an investment of R$ 5.6 billion over five years.
According to government data, the project is expected to create around 100,000 indirect jobs and establish a call center in the Northeast, which will generate between 3,000 and 4,000 direct jobs.

GWM (Great Wall Motors)

The Chinese automaker announced an investment of approximately R$ 6 billion to expand its operations in Brazil. Part of the production will be destined for export to other South American countries and Mexico.

GAC Motor

The automotive manufacturer intends to set up an industrial plant in Goiás, focusing on the production of three vehicle models — two electric and one hybrid. The projected investment is US$ 1.3 billion.

Mixue

The world's largest fast-food chain by number of stores — with over 45,000 units, surpassing McDonald's — will begin operations in Brazil with an investment of R$ 3.2 billion.
The company plans to acquire Brazilian fruits for the production of its ice creams and cold beverages, with a projection to create 25,000 jobs by 2030.

Envision

The company plans to invest up to R$ 5 billion in the construction of an industrial park dedicated to the production of SAF (sustainable aviation fuel) and green hydrogen, strategic sectors for energy transition.

Didi (controladora do 99 Táxi)

The company intends to expand its operations in Brazil with new investments in delivery services and electric mobility infrastructure. The plan includes the construction of approximately 10,000 charging points for electric vehicles, encouraging the electrification of the national fleet.

CGN (China General Nuclear Power Group)

Focusing on clean energy sources, CGN will invest R$ 3 billion in creating a renewable energy hub in Piauí. The project includes wind power, solar energy, and storage systems, with an estimated 5,000-plus jobs created during the construction phase.

This expansion movement highlights China's growing interest in Brazil's productive, logistical, and environmental potential. For Brazil, it represents an opportunity to create jobs, modernize infrastructure, and attract new technologies.
